Resumen
The flow inside the impeller of a single-stage centrifugal turbomachine with double aspirating section is numerically analyzed. Both pump and turbine working modes are studied. The URANS equations are solved using a sliding mesh technique, which allows the correct definition of the relative rotation. The performance curves are compared with the experimental data for the pump working mode. And finally, a detailed analysis of the averaged flow is shown for two typical sections in both operating conditions.
