Abstract

In this work is presented the application of three rainfall-runoff equations in the Albigasta River watershed, Catamarca, Argentina, of 900 km2. The analyzed expressions were Budyko, Turc-Pike and Pizarro; which estimate the runoff in function of the rainfall and a parameter that it depends on the evapotranspiration. On the base of their original formulations, for this application they were modificated for consider the propagation of the direct excesses and groundwater through lineal reservoirs. The evaluations were realizated for precipitations monthly for the period 1973-1986. In monthly terms, the study showed a very homogeneous behavior, being achieved coefficients of determination among observed and calculated flows near at 0.70. In consequence, the application of anyone of these methodologies is recomendated, considering the modification presented in this work.
