Abstract

Market and customer research for technological products is a key process in all organizations with an effective innovation program. Carrying out such studies could represent a large amount of human, financial and time resources. This article proposes the implementation of a preliminary study of potential users and customers, applying two surveys: DIAG-USER, which serves as an agile study of the perception regarding a technological solution, and DIAG-CLIENT, a preliminary study of potential customers of the technology (the company which would manufacture products with such technology). These examinations were applied to a technological solution for gray water recycling, the development of a public research center in Mexico (CIATEQ). The results showed that there is indeed a positive perception of the solution, for both users and potential investors. These results encourage more detailed studies on both potential users and possible investors for a given technology.
