The Instituto Mexicano de Tecnología del Agua (IMTA), with address at Paseo Cuauhnáhuac, No. 8532, Col. Progreso, C.P. 62550, Jiutepec, Morelos, is responsible for the treatment of the personal data you provide us, which will be protected in accordance with the provisions of the Ley General de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de Sujetos Obligados, and other regulations that may be applicable.
What personal data do we collect and for what purposes?
The personal data we collect will be used for the following purposes:
- To integrate the registry of authors who participate in the different publications of the Journal Tecnología y ciencias del agua.
- To identify the participating authors.
- To comply with the provisions of the Bases of participation of the Journal Tecnología y ciencias del agua.
- Publish the name of the participants.
- To publish the nationality of the participants.
- To publish the e-mail address of the participants.
- To publish the photographs of the participants.
- To grant the permissions foreseen in the Rules of Participation.
Additionally, it is reported that the data collected will be used to generate statistics and reports on the results of the Journal Tecnología y ciencias del agua. However, it is important to note that these statistics and reports, its content will not be associated with the owner of the personal data, so it will not be possible to identify it, except for the name of the participants. It is important to specify that the publication of the magazine may include the name, nationality, e-mail and photograph of the participant, making him/her identified or identifiable.
For the above purposes, the following personal data will be requested: full name of the participant, email, landline or cell phone; as well as the data contained in any of these documents: official identification, or if applicable, legal document proving his personality.
Basis for the processing of personal data
The Coordinación de Gobernanza del Agua y Fortalecimiento de Capacidades, through the Subcoordinación de Comunicación, Divulgación y Cultura del Agua, both belonging to IMTA, collaborate and edit the information presented in the magazine Tecnología y ciencias del agua.
Based on Article 3 of the Decree of Creation, Article 18 of the Organic Statute of IMTA, Articles 17, 18, 19, 20, 25 of the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Obligated Subjects, and within the framework of the organization, elaboration and publication of the Tecnología y ciencias del agua journal, personal data is collected for the above mentioned purposes.
Where can I exercise my ARCO rights?
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation or opposition of your personal data (ARCO rights) directly before the Transparency Unit of this Institute, located at Paseo Cuauhnáhuac No. 8532, Col. Progreso, C.P. 62550, Jiutepec, Morelos, or via e-mail: unidad_enlace@tlaloc.imta.mx.

Transfer of Data
In accordance with the provisions of the Bases for the publication of the Journal Tecnología y ciencias del agua, the names, nationality, e-mail and photographs of the participants in this publication will be made public.
No additional transfers will be made, except those that are necessary to meet information requirements of a competent authority, which are duly founded and motivated
