Recently, a new technology to purify petroleum gas has been developed using sewer wastewater. The purification equipment consists of an innovative design of a tray tower patented by the Cuban Intellectual Property Office. The characterization of the behavior of the tray hydraulics is essential to guaranteeing correct and stable operations. The tray hydraulics was analyzed by means of an experimental design. Semi-empirical mathematical models were obtained to describe the wastewater flow in the different tray sections, making it possible to evaluate the hydraulic equipment.Downloads
