Criteria Proposal for Conducting Hydrologic Studies (Part Two)

Abstract

Like it was mentioned in the first part of this proposal, the principal objective of this complement is the analysis and critical point of view about the actual criteria in the Mexican Republic, for the spillway design flood in small and major reservoirs. Also, the details and comments about the suggested procedure for calculation of free board is presented. The free board is calculated as the accumulation of significant wave height, run- up and wind sucharge. The separate presentation of these two topics was due to the extension of these, and to the secundary objetive to give a succint presentation of the suggested norms.
