Articles submission platform
To submit an article you must do it through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) at the URL: https://revistatyca.org.mx/index.php/tyca/login
You must be registered in https://revistatyca.org.mx/ojs/index.php/tyca/user/register
If you are already registered, you should have a username and password. If you don't remember your username and password, you can send an email to tyca.ojs@gmail.com
If you are unfamiliar with how the OJS platform operates and how to enter your article's metadata, we invite you to consult our "Manual para autores/as".
If you have any questions about using the OJS platform, please email tyca.ojs@gmail.com.
We only accept articles in Word format, articles in other formats will not be accepted.
Type of submissions
Article: a scientific paper that presents and reports for the first time the results of a successful research project or innovation, whose findings contribute to and expand current knowledge in the field of water matters.
Articles may be submitted in Spanish or English.
The title entered in the OJS must match the language of the article being submitted; if the article is in English, the title must be entered in English; if it is in Spanish, the title must be entered in Spanish. Articles that do not meet this requirement will be rejected.
Once the article has been accepted for publication, authors must submit the version in the language in which it was accepted, and may submit a translation into Spanish or English, as applicable.
Author Registration
When submitting the article via OJS, all authors of the article must be listed in the “Contributors” section. The email addresses provided must be valid and set up to receive correspondence. You must enter the affiliation of all participants in the corresponding registration field; if the participants’ affiliations are not registered, the article will not be accepted.
Contributors receive a notification email when the article is submitted. All authors must reply to this email to confirm their participation in the article. If they do not confirm their participation, their article will not be accepted.
Please note that each author will be required to provide their ORCID if the article is accepted for publication.
Author information (such as name, affiliated institution, country, and email address) must not be included in the article due to the double-blind peer review process.
Authors' Responsibilities and Editorial Processes
Please review our Editorial Policy to learn about the guidelines that rule all processes of the journal and the responsibilities of its contributors.

A maximum of eight keywords or phrases must be provided in both english and spanish, based on the UNESCO Thesaurus.

Statement on the use of AI para autores
Authors must state in the appropriate section of the article whether or not they have used any AI tools. If so, they must clearly indicate how these tools were used in the creation of the article (data analysis, information retrieval, citation search, drafting of the document, image creation, etc.).
The authors are responsible for the quality of the article and the results obtained through the use of AI. In the final version of the accepted article, they must indicate who was responsible for verifying the results generated by the AI and for incorporating them into the article.
Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments should be given to individuals and institutions that contributed to the study but do not qualify as authors. They must not include personal or family acknowledgments. They must be brief and written in professional language.
Financial support is not listed in this section, but rather in the “Funding” section.
Equations
Equations must be formatted using Word’s equation editor; other equation formats will not be accepted. They must not be placed within tables unless they are part of the content of a table that meets the requirements for tables.
Figures and tables
Figures and tables within the text must appear where they are intended. They must be cited one paragraph before they appear.
Images of the figures must meet the following size requirements: they must span the width of the standard margin without extending beyond the bottom margin if the image is tall.
They must have a resolution that allows the image to be zoomed in by 200% without distortion, and if the image contains text, it must remain legible.
Note: Each figure must consist of a single element in PNG or TIFF format; figures composed of separate elements will not be accepted; tables must not be images but must be created using Word’s table tool. Please note that if your article is accepted, you will be required to submit the figures individually in the specified format at high resolution (600 dpi).
References
In “APA” format, 7th edition.
In the text, use the APA author-date citation system.
References at the end of the article must be listed in alphabetical order.
When citing an author in the body of the text, include the author's last name and the year; when there are two authors, include the authors' last names and the year; when there are three or more authors, include the first author's last name followed by “et al.” and the year.
The list of references identifies and retrieves each source cited in the text. It must not be a bibliography.
The list of references cites sources that lend greater credibility to the ideas, assertions and concepts presented in a text. A bibliography, on the other side, cites sources that provide background information, suggest further reading and/or offer descriptive notes.
Separation of numbers and use of decimal point
The division between thousands shall be marked with a blank space; to separate whole numbers from their fractions, when there are fractions, a period shall be used.
In this regard, the Pan-Hispanic Dictionary of Doubts, edited by the Royal Spanish Academy and the Association of Spanish Language Academies, in 2005, on numerical expressions, states: "the Anglo-Saxon use of the period is accepted, normal in some Latin American countries …: “π = 3.1416”.
Letter of originality and confirmation of participation
It is essential to submit the Letter of Originality, signed by hand and/or with a certified digital signature by all authors of the article, at the time of submission via the OJS.
Download here the letter: "Letter of Originality".
All authors must confirm their participation in the article by replying to the notification email they receive upon submitting their article via the OJS platform. If any author does not reply to this email, the article will not be accepted.
